Crazy Bowl Friday

Tulsa/BYU -- Personally I can't get some of the games that BYU has played this year where they just looked horrible. Take Tulsa and lay the 1 point. Basically another pick em game.

Not sure how much value you put into the Sagarin ratings but Iowa State would be Rutgers toughest opponent this year. Rutgers would only be 9th on Iowa State's schedule. Despite the record, ISU is playing their best ball of the year these last 4 weeks or so(only losses being the #9 and #11 ranked teams). The only advantage I can see for Rutgers is they are closer to NYC so it will be like a home game for them. ISU played decent at Oklahoma and pretty well at Kansas State. We also played at Connecticut earlier in the year and won........Rutgers played at Connecticut the last game of the year and got piss pounded. All in all I feel pretty comfortable with an ISU win.
This is a pick em game and I don't think it could be put any better by my friend. I am on Iowa State as well!

Wake Forest/Mississippi State -7 -- I really don't like this game so I probably won't be on it, but I think Mississippi State is the better team and if they really want to be there they should be able to roll Wake, but again I will probably stay away.

Iowa/Oklahoma -13.5 -- Oh boy, OU and all the stuff going on in their program letting 8 players go, not sure what to think here. Landry Jones hasn't thrown a TD in 3 games, and has looked pedestrian. All he has done is hurt his draft status and probably at best dropped to a late first round/second round kind of pick. If I have to bet this game I will end up taking the Sooners and laying the points, mainly on Dave's opinion saying they will win by 3 touchdowns. Tough situation though, but maybe Landry will finish strong and head to the draft!

bowl game

Wow this was more difficult than I could have imagined. Just trying to post a quick blog about the game tonight. Dave is on Marshall and Vincent is on Florida International. Spread opened at Florida minus 4 and has moved to minus 5.
Vince is also on some basketball tonight. Taking Kentucky Richmond Northern Iowa and California Irvine. Hope everybody does well!

Bowl Games, NFL, and Hoops

Ok one change, Vince is hopping on Dallas -7, this is a must win game for them and they need to come out and dominate and learn how to keep a 4th quarter lead. Also, Freeman is still banged up and it hurts for him to throw, probably why he hasn't looked so great lately.

Temple Owls/Wyoming Cowboys take Temple -6.5
Utah State Aggies/Ohio Bobcats take Utah State -2
UL Lafayette Ragin Cajuns/San Diego State Aztecs take the Aztecs -4.5 I also like the over in this game of 58.

Like Arizona +4 against the Zags

Picks

Ok well we have some college hoops and NFL tonight and then a lot of NFL this weekend including a Saturday game. Sorry we haven't been updating as regularly as we should, but we will get back in the swing of things, and will have a big bowl extravaganza!

First tonight, Dave and Vince are both on Atlanta -13.5. Like the under of 42 as well.
Vince is also on George Washington -7 and Cal Irvine +15 @ LSU in college hoops tonight.

Dave has Dallas -7, Buffalo pk, Seahawks +3.5, Titans -6.5, Green Bay -14.5, Rams +7, Saints -7, Skins +7, Texans -6.5, Lions -1.5, Broncos +7.5, Eagles -3, Cards -6.5, Chargers +3, and 49ers as a pk.

Games Vince is different on include Tampa +7 instead of Dallas, Bengals -7 over the Rams, Panthers +6.5 keeping it close but losing in Houston, Raiders +1.5 with a must have game against an overrated Lions team, and I think Pitt goes into SF and wins.

NFL

Let's see 3 pointer at the buzzer to lose the Duke game, thanks guys. Sullinger didn't play so KU controlled that game, but I didn't get a chance to post that before the game. Overall yesterday was rough but plan on a good bounce back day! Dave still hasn't submitted his picks so we will just post some picks and go from there.

Colts cover the 16.5 against the Ravens
Atlanta -2.5 wins in Carolina
Houston +2.5 knock off the Bengals
Vikings +10.5 most likely without Peterson and Ponder still keep it close.
Jags +3 knock off the Bucs
Miami -2.5 keeps it rolling against a lifeless Eagles team
Chiefs +10.5 have to keep it close with their defense against the Jets
Titans +3.5 knock off the Saints in a game that doesn't mean anything for the Saints
Patriots -8 kill the Redskins and their cheating ways, maybe Sexy Rexy needs some of those PED's??
Cardinals +3.5 with the hook keep it close against the 49ers
Bears +3.5 keep it close with their D against that bum Tebow!
Raiders +11.5 try to stay alive in the division but fall short against the Packers
Chargers -7 I hate Rivers but he probably throws for 300 and 4 TD's this week against the Bills
Giants +3.5 upset the Cowboys and take the reigns of the division.

If you really want to bet the football games today I would take Navy -7 Sam Houston State -7 Maine +7.5 and North Dakota State -10. I have no money on the football games so not sure that is the best advice in the world.

4 games tonight

First off I like K-State -4 in Wichita against West Virginia. Young WV team and a team in K State that sometimes struggles to score. I look for K State to rock and roll in this one basically as a home game.

Providence rolls tonight at home against Boston College. Providence -14

I do like Detroit by 5 at home against Western Michigan. Western Michigan is about as good at basketball as they are at football. Detroit in a landslide.

I have two plays on the NFL game tonight. I like the Steelers -14 and the under. This game will end up like 24-6 or something like that. You get to overs based on the underdog being able to score more points than you would expect, Cleveland is anemic on offense and that always puts a lot of pressure on their D. Cleveland may get an early field goal or two but Pittsburgh will get into the end zone enough to cover. I don't see how this game gets on the over of 40 unless Pitt just rolls off some defensive or special team touchdowns. Good luck!
