I am just going to start by saying, Dave and I by no means bet every game we pick. We try to get a good spread of games and make our picks on those games. A lot of sites assign star ratings or units to each game, which I don't really like that much because it is somewhat cheesy, but I think we should maybe distinguish between the games we are going to bet on or we feel strong about, and the games we probably won't touch.
I just want to give you an example, I had a good day yesterday in the NFL, 5-1 in the early games 2-1 in the late games and hit a small parlay on the night game. Yes I bet on 10 of the 12 games but two I didn't like were the Jets/Bills game, and the Broncos/Chargers game. I wasn't sure which Bills team would show up, are the Jets really 8 points better than the Bills? I had a million questions about that game I couldn't answer so I stayed away. Same with the Broncos and Chargers, Tebow? Rivers? Are the Chargers ever going to wake up? So I stayed away from that. The early game I lost was the Rams/Cardinals, thanks to Patrick Peterson yet again. He has burnt me with 2 returns against the Rams. The late game I missed was the Seahawks/Redskins. Sexy Rexy showed up. I assumed he would be horrible because he was good last week, but he proved me wrong and put back to back good weeks together. Last night I decided at the last minute that the Chiefs were going to play a good game on Sunday Night Football so I took the Chiefs +11 and the under of 42. The under was never in question, but the spread could have gone either way.
Back to my point, and actually the point of comment from Demonpenz. He said he didn't like any of the games this week, and sometimes not playing is winning. He is right, if you don't feel good about a game don't bet it. Sure I picked 16 college games and all the NFL games this week, but I didn't bet them all. So my point is I would like some feedback on how we should rate some of our games, sure we do our breakdowns which will be games that we bet, but how would you like the rest of the games highlighted? Stars, Units, Strength number? IDK? Oh yeah, and just because you feel good about a game, and it seems like everything is going your way, see Michigan Ohio State. Touchdown to cover, oh wait reviewed, down at the half yard line, penalty on Michigan, settle for field goal. Or Arkansas getting up 14-0 and then getting outscored 41-3, game has a good feel to it at first, and then it is gone. Gambling is clearly not a science, but the goal is to make it as much of a science as possible, so just because we post a game a) doesn't mean you need to bet it b) doesn't mean we are going to bet it and c) you never know what is going to happen.
Bottom line I am looking for some feedback so please comment, shoot Dave an e-mail, shoot me an e-mail, just get in touch with us so we can make this better for you. Hope you had a profitable weekend!

Thoughts from Dave
Arkansas @ LSU (-12.5): Let me just describe what I have personally done, I have cashed out my betting account for the exception for 308.00 which I have put on the money line for the underdog Hogs to roll in to Baton Rouge and secure their spot in the BCS National Championship with a win. For you doubters out there, this is my take on it, and probably almost everyone that calls themselves a Hogs fan. Arkansas is by far the most explosive offensive team in the SEC, east or west. LSU no doubt has the best defense in the nation, but also has a dismal offense to go along with that D. I don't look for this to be walk in the park for the Razorbacks, I actually look for this to be the toughest game for the Hogs have played in awhile. This is also the biggest game the Hogs have played in a few decades. A National title spot on the line, LSU wants it just as bad, but I think Arkansas defense will be able to hold LSU in check, a much improved Hogs D in recent weeks. This team lost to Alabama early on in the season, If the Hogs can't put away the kittens and Bama can handle Auburn, we are looking at a rematch of Arkansas vs Alabama for a national championship, if Alabama can put away Georgia in the SEC championship. Look for Joe Adams to be a key factor in the Arkansas output both on special teams as well as in the receiver position. Bobby Petrino has taken this Arkansas team from the dumps to a top 3 BCS ranking after the departure of Nutt in only 4 short years. Hogs tree the Tigers behind the right arm of Tyler Wilson and his star studded receiving corp. This is the best game of the year in my opinion, and I am a die hard Sooner fan.Hogs win 24-17.

Friday Afternoon Breakdown!
Thoughts from Vince...
USC @ Oregon -14.5. I am not sure why I have to break this down for you fools, including Dave who likes USC, but I will go ahead and do it. I was going to be at this game but plane tickets were over $600 round trip so I decided that I would go out a time when the cost was more reasonable. USC averages 34 points a game and gives up 25. Oregon averages 47 points per game (3rd in the nation) and gives up only 22. Oregon is coming off a huge win 53-20 over Stanford, but this is not a team that will have a let down. Oregon is back into the National Title picture, needing some help, but for sure in line for a BCS game with a statement here. LaMichael James truly can not be stopped and Daniel Thomas is making good decisions. Barkley will move the ball, and USC will probably score somewhere in the 20's, but that won't be enough to compete in this game against Oregon in Autzen Stadium. Ducks will stay hot and hope for some help from either Arkansas or Oklahoma.
USC 24 Oregon 52
Kansas State @ Texas -8. Somebody explain to me how Kansas State has only been favored in one game this year? Has nobody bought in? I truly don't understand the continued lines against K State. Texas is coming off a horrible game at Mizzou where they scored 3 points on offense and 5 total. Oh and they lost their best running back? I am nervous though because over 90% of the money is on Kansas State, and the line hasn't moved that much. Making me wonder if Vegas knows something that I don't know. Texas can't really pass the ball but have still found a way to put up 31 points a game. They are only giving up about 21 per game. K State scores 35 per game but gives up 30. K State is not pretty, but they continue to find ways to win. I really don't have a strong feeling either way on who is going to win this game, but I do feel it will be a typical K State game back and forth and will stay within a 1 score game. I am going with K State to win, but will definitely take the points.
K State 28 Texas 27
Nebraska @ Michigan -2.5. I think this is a pretty even battle, Martinez vs Robinson is what I think the difference in the game will be. Nebraska averages 32.9 points per game and Michigan 32.5. Michigan has a better defense ranking 5th in points allowed 15.5, Nebraska solid but not as good 22.2. Two things I really think here, Michigan is the better team, and Nebraska will get exploited again like they did by Wisconsin. I don't think it will be the old fashioned beat off like Wisconsin gave Nebraska, but I think Michigan wins with some ease. Robinson is way better than Martinez both as a runner and a passer. Michigan's defense is quite a bit better than Nebraska's as well, and they are playing in the Big House! Good game to watch but Michigan pulls away.
Nebraska 27 Michigan 37
Bucs @ Packers -14. I don't know that anybody can stop Green Bay! Aaron Rodgers is the real deal, and that defense seems to be waking up. That doesn't bode well for a Bucs team that has struggled this year. Freeman has not looked good, LeGarrett Blount is banged up and not looking great since getting hurt, and Mike Williams or whatever his name is isn't doing anything. Rodgers can throw to Driver, Nelson, Finley, Jennings, etc. Teams coming off a MNF win of 17 or more are 40-22 ATS the following week. I am not going to spend a lot of time here, Packers win another easy one at home!
Bucs 14 Packers 35
Seahawks @ Rams -2.5. This is really a battle of 2 pretty even teams. Seattle has beaten good teams like the Giants and Ravens and the Rams have beaten the Saints. Two stats here that again tell you this is a coin toss game... Seattle has won 11 of the last 12 meetings but they are also 15-32 ATS on the road since 2006. I lean on a few things here, Jackson seems to be back, Bradford is back, and minus a Patrick Peterson 99 yard punt return, the Rams would be 3-0 in their last 3 games. Lynch is looking good for Seattle and will keep them in the game, but the difference here is St Louis has a QB that can actually win a game for them.
Hawks 21 Rams 26
Raiders @ Vikings +1. Here we go with the opposite stat of the Packers game, teams coming off a loss of 17 or more on MNF are 17-36 ATS since 1999. That doesn't bode well for the Vikings, nor does Antoine Winfield being placed on IR. I am still not sold on Carson Palmer, but he should be able to pick this defense apart, part of the reason I am starting him in fantasy football this week. Bush has been a very good replacement for McFadden, and Moore has became a favorite target of Palmer. This is also a huge game for the Raiders with the Broncos breathing down their necks. I do feel like this game is going to be a nail biter because of Adrian Peterson, but I feel strong the Raiders find a way to win even with 12 penalties. Palmer lights up the secondary with 3 TD's and they slow Peterson just enough.

The PIcks
We clearly are not good on Thursday night games! Gosh Von Miller is an absolute beast. He went into beast mode and used the turbo button and the spin button, and absolutely changed that game. Just like he did in Kansas City last weekend. Just a thought, somebody might want to try blocking the dude. This truly might be the second coming of Derrick Thomas, this guy is a game changer! I truly don't think that anybody could look as bad for 55 minutes as Tebow did and then lead a 95 yard touchdown drive to win the game? This guy is horrible, none of his throws are spirals, he misses wide open receivers, hell he throws to the ground half the time, but you have to give it to him he doesn't turn the ball over and he finds a way to win the game! I know all the talk in the media is about Tebow and not Von Miller, but they are both studs. I hate Denver, I can't stand that team, but Miller is going to be a centerpiece of that D for a long time! Tebow is 4-1 as a starter, but the jury is still out on him. Oh and if anybody wasn't paying attention Denver is now 5-5 and competing for this division.
We do have a game tonight that is part of our picks, Oklahoma State traveling to Ames, IA to fight with an Iowa State team looking to get bowl eligible. We are both on Ok State, but trust me I will be watching the weather very closely there, it is always windy and can cause some major issues with a high powered passing attack. Watch it closely and see what the weather is like, but OK State does not have their hiccup here, that happens next week! We will also have 2 posts today, this one with the picks and then a breakdown portion, so stay tuned!

Thursday Game
College basketball is up and in full swing, and a lot of crazy things happening. I will tell you right now watch out for the Missouri State Bears. They play Oklahoma State later in the year and I could see them pulling the upset for sure. If I had to lay money on future bets 2 of them I would take right now, UNC to win the title, and the Royals to win the division. Heck right now the Royals are +6000 to win the World Series, don't think that will happen, but when they have odds for their division I will probably throw something on that. Oh a side note Gary Pinkle got himself a little DWI, early too 915. If he is smart he will suspend himself for the last 2 games, because that is what he did with 2 of his players. He doesn't do much during the game anyways, he schemes more before the game during the week, and is pretty hands off during the game. Do the right thing Gary, suspend yourself.
We do have football tonight, Jets @ Broncos +6. The line opened at +4 but with over 80% of the money on the Jets the line has moved a couple points. For me this line can be about anything they want and I would still be all over the Jets. The Jets last 2 losses are to New England, with three wins in between there. Denver is coming off 3 wins in their last 4 games, using Tebow to get crazy. They do lead the league in rushing but they are 31st in passing. Here is what I know, they threw 8 passes against the Chiefs last week, completely 2 of them, one for a huge TD. Any normal team would be able to win a game where the QB was 2 for 8, but the Chiefs just were not in that game. The Jets are going to shove the run back down Denver's throat. They can add whatever wrinkles they want, but it isn't going to fool the Jets. Rex Ryan is great at scheming against great offenses, but when they are one sided he will be able to absolutely shut them down. With McGahee hobbling around, and some bum named Lance Ball likely to get some carries, the Jets destroy the zone read option and dominate this game. Sanchez actually will look decent too hooking up with Plaxico quite a few times, probably for a TD or two. Broncos come back to reality here, and get shelled by a decent, but not great, Jets team.
Jets 26 Broncos 0

Tuesday Night B-Ball
Well that was a blowout last night, if Green Bay's defense can play like that the rest of the year I have no idea how they would lose a game? Aaron Rodgers puts the ball wherever he wants whenever he wants, that guy is pretty good and he has so many weapons. They use more of the playbook than I can imagine. Enough of that we will get back to football tomorrow or Thursday.
Tonight we have basketball, lots of basketball and quite a few good games actually. First, Missouri State who went 26-9 last year has their big stud Kyle Weems back. He spent most of the first half in foul trouble in their season opener in which they were 7.5 point dogs. They only won that game by 22 on the road. Tonight they play Arkansas State, and they are favored by 2.5-3.5 depending on where you see the line. I like Mo State to roll in this game, with Weems staying out of foul trouble, Caleb Patterson staying hot, and I think with a solid contribution from Nathan Scheer. Mo State rolls tonight.
Michigan St vs Duke -6.5. Michigan State is pretty young and really is going to struggle to find points all season. They played an emotional good game against the number one team in the nation UNC on a military ship, but they aren't going to be able to hang with Duke in this one. As much as this hurts me to say this, the Plumee brothers are going to dominate the inside and make life tough on Michigan State tonight. Duke rolls.
Kansas vs Kentucky -6.5. KU does have a decent starting 5, but they aren't as deep as they normally are. Kentucky has more NBA talent on the floor than any other team in the country. I really think this game comes down to one person, Tyshawn Taylor. I think he is going to be turnover prone and Kentucky is going to roll because of it. If KU is to stay in this game, it will be because Taylor plays one of his best games as a Jayhawk, if he doesn't, look for the Cats to roll.

If KU is to stay in this game, it will be because Taylor plays one of his best games as a Jayhawk, if he doesn't, look for the Cats to roll.

Quick Recap
Dave and I should have taken Sunday off like the Panthers, Lions, Ravens, Jets, and Mike Smith did. After Dave went 8-5-1 in college and Vince went 11-2-1, the NFL decided to own us. Dave was 6-9 and Vince was 7-8 in NFL, OUCH! Kind of like Mike Smith and going for it, what in the world were you thinking? Tie game and you go for it on a 4th down in your own territory, I mean deep in your own territory, and you don't get it, and give Drew Brees a short field. I mean all they had to do was kick a field goal from where you gave them the ball? Clearly you didn't show up to coach on Sunday. Jets, you looked like the Jets from the early part of the season again, good work! Ravens, do you have road issues, do you have playing down to your competition issues, or what? I mean how do you lose to the Jags and Seahawks, and beat Pittsburgh twice, beat Houston, I mean you just don't make any sense. Hello Detroit? Hello? Anybody home? You can't run the ball, and now your explosive offense is horrible. Chicago won that division last year, and are starting to look pretty darn good again. It will be hard for them to catch Green Bay, but Chicago is becoming one of the best teams in the NFC. P.S. Cam Newton is a rookie, evident by their 30-3 old fashioned beat off at the hands of the Titans. An average Titans team, who finally got Chris Johnson going. Anybody catch that barn burner in Cleveland, 13-12, that was a lot of fun to watch, oh wait thankfully I didn't have to watch it or I might have broken my T.V.
How good were some of the college games this week? K-State and A&M? Wow! Oregon and Stanford, that was exciting. I mean you score on your first possession and go for 2? Oregon is so exciting to watch! Missouri winning a slug fest defensive battle with Texas, Arkansas rolling, Oklahoma State rolling again, and Nebraska Penn St, was just a good game! And did anybody catch the UNC/Michigan State basketball game on the ship? That was cool! It took forever to play a basketball game stopping it for everything imaginable, but it was still very cool. I hope that you all had a great weekend, made some money, watched and enjoyed some football, maybe won your fantasy football game, and of course had some beverages.
Tonight we have the Vikings @ Packers, Packers a huge favorite, we will see if they can shut down AP and company or if that suspect defense will continue to give up a lot of yards and points.

Friday Afternoon Breakdown!
So does anybody believe me that Phillip Rivers is not good yet? I know Dave still doesn't, but that dude is making horrible decisions. As I left work last night sitting in my car on my drive home I literally thought to myself, "The Raiders could win this game!" I had to quickly talk myself out of such foolish thoughts, but sometimes you just need to listen to those gut feelings that come on you for no reason. Oakland dominated that game, Palmer looked decent, and Michael Bush looked better than McFadden. I give it to the Raiders, they have bounced back whereas the Chargers have packed it in for the year. AFC West is wide open but at this point I think it is a two horse race with the Raiders and the Chiefs.
Anybody catch Houston and the 73 they laid on Tulane? There was no score at the end of the first quarter? What? How is that? A defensive battle? Nope Houston lays 35 of the board in the 2nd quarter. 35 and then 24 in the third. Case Keenum had a decent game, 300+ yards and 3 TD's but their running game took over. Sims had 10 carries for 207 yards and 2 TD's and had another 5 catches for 45 yards. Houston has been on fire and trying to be a BCS bubble buster. Oh and Virginia Tech outlasted Georgia Tech. Pretty good game, Logan Thomas pretty much was all the offense for V Tech. He had 5 total TD's and helped lead them to victory. Ok enough about last night on to this weekend....
Thoughts from Vince...
Oregon @ Stanford -3.5. A matchup of #7 and #4, a huge game in the Pac 12. I have tried my best to look at this game objectively. For those of you that don't know my sister lives in Eugene and I am a pretty big Ducks fan. I will provide my best breakdown as objectively as possible. Oregon is only 5-4 ATS this season, but they have not covered some of the huge lines they are given, where Stanford is 9-0 ATS. Oregon is 8-1 in the last 9 games against Stanford including a 52-31 win last year in Eugene. Stats are pretty close in this game, Oregon scores 46, Stanford scores 48.2, Oregon gives up 21 and Stanford gives up 17 points per game. Stanford ranks 3rd in the nation against the rush, 23rd against the pass, and are 3rd in scoring. Oregon is 5th in scoring with an average defense. Here is what I keep coming back to 31 carries for 257 yards and 3 TD's, yes that is what LaMichael James did last year against the Cardinals. Daniel Thomas was also 20/29 for 238 3TD's 2 INT's with and additional 117 yards rushing on 15 carries and a TD. These aren't the same teams as last year, Stanford probably a little better, Oregon maybe not quite as good, but the same stars are in place, James, Thomas, Luck. I think this will be much more entertaining than a 9-6 game that we got last weekend. I have a slight lean to the Ducks to cover the 3.5 and actually if I am going to do that I am going to take them on the money line.
Ducks 38 Cardinals 35
Texas @ Missouri +1. Everybody is all of a sudden thinking Texas got healthy and looks like the old Texas because they beat Tech at home who lost to Iowa State? and they spanked Kansas? Who hasn't? Remember the 55-17 beat down that was given to them by OU? This Texas team is average across the board, 28th in scoring, 31st in points allowed, I mean they don't do anything great on either side of the ball. I would say they run the ball and stop the run better than most, but still not great. Don't get me wrong, Missouri is not great either, and I would say pretty average. They are 25th in scoring and 61st in points allowed. They did just give up 700 yards to Baylor too, which was horrible. This is the last time Missouri and Texas will play each other as part of the Big 12, and I think both teams are going to be fired up for that. Pinkle is 0-5 against Texas, never been able to beat them, and honestly probably one reason they are heading to the SEC. Ash or Franklin? Josey or Brown? Shipley and Davis or Moe and Egnew? Franklin, unless he turns the ball over 4 times, Josey is the best back in the big 12, and I would take either group of receivers. This game comes down to 1 thing, Missouri not taking quarters off, they can't take an entire quarter off and have a reasonable chance to win. They can't play from behind by 14, 17, 21 like they have all year or Texas will whitewash them. Pinkle got off the Oklahoma snide last year finally beating them, and I think he gets his lone win against Texas right here as he bids the Big 12 goodbye!
Longhorns 24 Tigers 35
Patriots @ Jets -1.5. The Jets are rolling and the Patriots are done. That is what is being said, Brady has nobody to throw to, and Belichick's genius on defense can't save him when he doesn't have players. Sanchez has a go to receiver in Plaxico, and the running game has came alive, and man that lock down defense is looking good again. Been there, done that, not listening to it. When have the Patriots been at their best? When everybody was against them, when their backs were against the wall, this is where they step up. Brady is 14-7 ATS as a dog, soon to be 15-7. Patriots really lose 3 in a row? Don't see that happening. Somebody tell me how they were 8 point favorites in New England, won the game, and now are dogs? Talk about a value line. If you take the 3 point home field advantage out of it (6 point swing) the Pats should still be favored by 2. You are getting 3-3.5 maybe 4 points of value there. It is all adjusted because of the perception that the Jets are getting better and the Patriots are finished. Jets beat the Chargers, wow they have self-imploded, they beat the Bills who are returning to reality, and they beat the Dolphins in their 3 game winning streak where the Patriots lost to a tough Pittsburgh team and on a last second play by the Giants and Eli Manning. Division game, should be a battle.
Patriots 24 Jets 16
Broncos @ Chiefs -3. The Broncos caught the Raiders off guard with the zone read option play. Don't worry, the Chiefs will be ready. They are going to force Tebow to beat them with his arm, and guess what, he can't do it. Sure everybody is thinking the Chiefs stink again, and trust me they aren't a good team, but they are better than these Broncos who without an onside kick would be 2-6. Of course the same could be said of the Chiefs, without a Rivers fumble the Chiefs would be 3-5. This is a division game, a game both teams want and need. In order to win this game the Chiefs need to stop the running game, and move the ball through the air. I am less nervous about this game though, then I was last weekend when Miami came in. Miami was hungry, been playing close games, and they were prepared and the Chiefs weren't. That woke the Chiefs up, and the Broncos traveling on back to back weeks isn't going to do them any favors.
Broncos 10 Chiefs 24
Texas A&M @ K State +5.5. Here is something interesting that I heard this week, and I by no means take credit for it but I thought I would pass along. Quarterback A. 58.3% completion 1223 yds 9 TD's 4 INT's 206 carries 906 yds 19 TD's. Quarterback B. 55.6% completion 1510 yds 7 TD's 10 INT's 203 carries 1115 yards and 18TD's. Who do you take? Personally I probably take A who is Collin Klein who also has 3 games left. QB B? Heisman Trophy winner Eric Crouch. Yup, staggering isn't it? K State is again getting no respect in a game they should be favored. They had it down to the last play last week against OK State. This team doesn't quit and just continues to play for this coach. OU killed them, not sure what happened there, and that clearly is why they are home dogs to a team that can't close games. A&M lost at home to Mizzou, and Mizzou lost to K State in Manhattan, yet K State is the home dog? I know Vegas and some wiseguys probably know something I don't, but I am on K State here, I will take the points but I like them straight up as well.
A&M 30 K State 35
Steelers @ Bengals +3. This game truly scares me. Cincy for real? I mean that defense is pretty darn good, and Andy Dalton and Green are on the same page, but who have they beat? The Browns, the Bills, the Jags, the Colts, the Seahawks and the Titans? 2 things scare me here, I don't know how good the Bengals truly are, and the public is all over Pitt. Vegas isn't going to continue to get it handed to them, see game last night, 91% of bets on San Diego. I think Big Ben is able to move the ball especially deep down the field, but they won't have much of a run game. Cincy will be tested this week, they will show how real they really are. Even if Cincy loses they can gain a lot of respect by keeping this game close, they also will get Pitt again and Baltimore twice, so very soon we will know if the rookies can hold up. I am taking Pitt, with a slight lean, to really hurt the Bengals playoff hopes.
Steelers 24 Bengals 18
Thoughts from Dave...
Nebraska @ Penn State: (3): Where to start here. This game could go either way. 1. Penn State could rally around the ongoing scandal that this institution faces and will continue to face for quite some time, they could upset the Huskers on adrenaline alone. 2. The most likely choice, will be that talent wins this game, the players on the field for Nebraska are better than the players at Penn State, however, this will be the first time in 46 years that JoePa will not be on the sideline. With all that has happened and all that is going to continue to happen, the Lions won't be able to overcome the sure to be hostile crowd and the atmosphere will definitely be filled with mixed emotions. In the long run, Nebraska wins this game with or without the events that have transpired over the past week. The students can turn over news vans and throw stones all they want to, there is nothing that will stop the Huskers from handing Penn State their 2nd loss of the season. Huskers win 38-17.
Oregon @ Stanford (-3.5) I think the Ducks come in and pull off the upset. I really don't know that you could call this an upset. The Ducks have just as impressive schedule vs record as Stanford does. Lets not forget the Ducks only loss came to the unbeaten and currently #1 ranks LSU, where the managed to put on 27 points in that ball game, the highest mark to date against the nations best defense. I look for Oregon to edge Luck and company in a barn burner.
41-34 Oregon.
Oklahoma St. @ Texas Tech (17.5) The Cowboys were pushed at home last week by the Wildcats and it was much closer than the Pokes would've liked it to have been, myself included. It's hit or miss with the Red Raiders, they put together a great performance in Norman and than look like shit against Iowa State and Texas. So I look for the trend to continue as Okie State appears to have as many offensive weapons as a team can have. Weeden, Blackmon, and Randle should dominate this game. The pokes D continues to get better. Pokes roll 64-31.
Tennessee @ Arkansas (-13.5) The Razorbacks come into this game after beating down the Gamecocks of South Carolina. The Razorbacks won that game with ease. They also left about 30, yes 30 points off the board. You take the wide open pass Wingo and Hamilton dropped and the two turnovers they didn't convert inside their opponents 5 yd line as well as 3 missed field goals and they hand 70 on the number 9 ranked Gamecocks. This Tennessee team comes in off a win over in state opponent Middle Tennesse State 24-0, not that impressive, and before there output of 24 puts in the first half, Tennessee had failed to reach the end zone in 9 straight quarters, I look for the Razorbacks to dominate in every fashion of this game. They have two soft opponents in Tennessee and Mississippi State before the face the unbeaten LSU Tigers in Baton Rouge. Wilson goes off in this game, Wright and Adams will break records in this game, and the running game is stagnant unless its a draw or something quick right up the middle. Hogs roll 55-20.
Vikings @ Packer (-14) The Packers continue to play lights out football and Aaron Rodgers is playing the best football I've ever seen by a QB. However, 14 points is a lot to give up to AP and company. Ponder continues to improve and with him becoming increasingly more comfortable in the pocket, I think this is a fairly close football game. Ponder kept his team in the game just 2 weeks ago against this same Packer team. If Green Bay has a weakness, its definitely its secondary. Packers pull out a win, 38-27.
Lions @ Bears (-3): I like the Lions to hit Chicago with everything they have, and they have quite a bit. From a stout D line to an explosive offense. If they can have a decent ground game or quick developing pass plays that are really runs (screen pass, quick out) it will definitely open things up for Calvin down field. If Stafford makes good decisions and shows good ball security, they beat Cutler and company in a close one. Look for Lions to come from behind once again. 34-31 Lions.
THURSDAY FOOTBALL
Thursday night football is in full force tonight. We have 3 college games and 1 NFL game this is going to be off da hook! Due to the bonus games this week, we are going to give some bonus breakdowns!!! Who isn't excited for that? I know that Dave and I are! For the games we have the Raiders @ the Chargers, Ohio @ Central Michigan, Houston @ Tulane, and Virginia Tech @ Georgia Tech. Honestly we aren't going to break down the Ohio/Central Michigan game unless somebody sends a request for that. The other three games were on our initial picks, so we will give a breakdown of each.
Thoughts from Vince...
Raiders @ Chargers -7. The Chargers and Phillip Rivers are a tough team to figure out, but I think this is one game we can safely say they are going to win. Oakland comes in with nothing positive happening since the emotional win at Houston when Al Davis died. Since then they have lost one of the most dynamic backs in the league, Darren McFadden, signed and mortgaged the future for a washed up QB in Carson Palmer, signed a receiver who couldn't make an Arena League squad in TJ Houshmandzadeh, and lost to Tebow by 14 in Oakland? Palmer is doing well 3 TD's and 6 INT's, before long he will catch up with Rivers. The Chargers have won 13 out of their last 15 against the Raiders, and there is no reason to think they won't win this one. They get Matthews back, who I think is a great compliment to Tolbert, not the other way around. Rivers did better throwing to bums before so even without Floyd in the lineup he will be able to hit Jackson and dump it off to the backs, especially Tolbert. I look for Tolbert to have a rushing TD, a receiving TD, Rivers to have 2 TD's with the second going to Jackson, and Rivers only turning the ball over once on an INT because they get up early and rely on the two headed monster of a running game they potential have. That will help burn the clock and keep this game on the under as well. I am laying the points be it 7, 7.5, 8 taking San Diego and will also take the under of 48.
Raiders 13 Chargers 24
Houston @ Tulane +34.5. Has anybody watched Houston play this year? I know they aren't on normal times, and don't get a lot of probs, but this team is impressive, at least on the offensive side of the ball. They lead the Nation in scoring at almost 53 points a game, and they put up over 600 yards of offense a game which also leads the nation. They are finally getting a little respect from the BCS as well, moving up to 11th in the Country. They are 9-0 and will easily move to 10-0 tonight. Tulane only scores 23 points per game and they give up 36 to teams like Memphis and Southern Methodist. Speaking of how do you lose 45-24 to Southern Methodist and actually cover? Being a 26.5 point underdog to Southern Methodist says it all to me, how is this line only 35? I guess it is a home game for Tulane, and Houston could look past them? Case Keenum didn't do much last week with only 2 passing TD's and 2 rushing TD's, but they still covered and rolled UAB 56-13. I don't see anyway this isn't a blowout? Houston is 7-2-1 ATS this year, and have been hot lately, lay the points and take the team that wants to make a BCS argument.
Houston 63 Tulane 7
Virginia Tech @ Georgia Tech +1. What can we say about Frank Beamer? Frank Beamer is a good coach, and he has a problem getting through the season unbeaten. They have already had their one stinker this year, and lost to Clemson 23-3. Doesn't really add up to me? And of course people will argue that Georgia Tech beat Clemson so Georgia Tech should be VT blah blah. I don't buy that crap ever. Two stats make this game easy for me to pick, VT points allowed and rushing yards allowed. They rank 6th in both categories in the nation. In contrast to Clemson, who is 54th in points allowed and 96th against the run. The reason Clemson beat VT was because VT is 66th against the pass and just couldn't shut down the passing game. Georgia Tech can't pass, all they do is run, and that is right into the strength and teeth of VT's defense. I think both teams will be able to put up some points, but I see VT coming out on top in this one. Should be a great game and will probably come down to the end of the game but VT finds a way.
Virginia Tech 28 Georgia Tech 24
Thoughts From Dave....
Raiders @ Chargers (-7): The Raiders without a healthy Darren Mcfadden are like the Colts without manning. They struggle to find an identity. They say one player doesn't make a team, and I myself believe that, but I have come to question that after the Colts, who are usually a division leader, have yet to win a game since his departure with the high ankle injury. To be exact they have been out scored 66-24 in 2 games. And after the Chargers offense looked a little sharper last week vs Green Bay, I look for Phillip Rivers and company to steamroll a team without their go to back and a QB that is trying to remove the rust that comes with a 18 month layoff. Charger dominate at home 38-17.
Houston @ Tulane (34.5) I know some folks were let down after Keenum only accounted for 4 TD (2 thru the air & 2 on the ground), but this is what we have come to expect from the high octane no defense playing Cougars of Houston. Houston rolls, but Tulane is going to put some points on the board.
Houston 73 Tulane 24
Virginia Tech at Georgia Tech (1): I really like this game here, I like it b/c I think its a game that will show the voters that VT is the most over rated team in the Top 25. Ask yourself this, who have the beat?? You could potentially make a case for Miami (5-4), one game above .500. The only game in my mind they have played is the one where they got their ass handed to him and kept out of the endzone (23-3) against Clemson. Did you catch their last game where the edged out Duke, 14-10, hey Duke is a great win in basketball, but when your playing football, thats pathetic. Georgia Tech takes Beamer ball and shoves it right up where the sun don't shine!

Weekend Recap
Did anybody see the boxing match? Oh wait no because Dykstra backed out and didn't fight. Seriously man, you just got out of prison, probably going to go back, and you need the money, but yet you back out of the match? Whatever Canseco would have kicked your ass pretty quickly. I guess you could say Canseco would have taken the hammer to the nail!
What a great weekend of college football, so many good games, not including the LSU/Bama game. Did you watch that snooze fest? 4 missed field goals, 12 men in the huddle in overtime? Really? and that catch that was an interception or whatever it was. That game was not that exciting, and it wasn't much different than the toilet bowl in Iowa, where Iowa State edged out KU 13-10. The difference in this game is that the offenses were trying not to lose so they didn't make any big mistakes, as where KU and Iowa State were trying to win on offense, but kept giving the other team a chance to win. Sure LSU/Bama was a good game, but it was nowhere close to as exciting as K State and Oklahoma State. That game was back and forth, had everything you could ever imagine, you were on the edge of your seat the entire time, and it came down to one play.
What other games were good? I mean MU/Baylor ended 39-42, Baylor put up over 700 yards of offense, Missouri did your defense already go to the SEC? Wow they forgot they still had to play Baylor and RG3. Arkansas takes control of South Carolina, which was a huge win for the Hogs. Oregon, Boise, Stanford, Houston, and OU all got another victory. OU trying to battle into the title talks, loses Broyles for the year, that is a huge loss. Stanford has a showdown with Oregon, in Stanford, could decide if Stanford has a shot at the title. Boise doesn't play anybody the rest of the year, nor does Houston really. Too bad you can't have a playoff between Houston and Boise St and the winner at least gets a BCS game. You know what I want in the title game, one of those great defenses LSU/BAMA against one of those great offenses, Stanford, Oregon, OU, Boise St, even Houston and Case Keenum that is what I would like to see. I know we already had LSU/Oregon, but Oregon is better now and I would be happy with a rematch of that. The one thing I don't want is to watch another 9-6 snoozer with LSU/Bama going at it again. Lots of things left to play out, and it will be fun watching it.
Now on to the NFL. How hard is it to route for Fitzgerald for fantasy and the Rams because of gambling, or Jake Ballard because of fantasy against your 2nd favorite team of the Patriots, or Billy Cundiff my kicker to score but Pitt to find a way to win, yet not a defensive touchdown as I am playing against them in fantasy. Isn't football amazing? It is just so much fun to watch and route and cheer and yell. I mean Patrick Peterson has a 99 yard punt return TD in overtime to beat the Rams? Why in the world is he even catching the ball there? Oh wait because he is Patrick Peterson and has done it a few times this year. How bout that Sunday night game? Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Baltimore Pittsburgh, I had no idea what was going to happen at any point. How good are the Packers? Yes they are 8-0, and they were in control of that game for almost the entire game, but is their offense too good it hurts their defense? I mean they score, score as much as they want, but they do it quickly. Does this hurt their defense? Just watching the way they played San Diego and some other teams this year, I truly question how good they are as a team. They probably have one of the best offenses of all time, but is the defense going to hold them back? Remember the Chiefs and their high flying offense? They couldn't stop anybody and it eventually caught up to them. I guess we will see, and I am not saying they aren't a great team, but they have got to sure up their defense.
This week is a special week, Thursday night football starts this week. Raiders and Chargers, in San Diego. So we will try to have at least some picks up before this game and probably have both of us break down the game. Have a great Monday and here is looking to another winning week!

Celebrity Boxing and Football
It is Friday, which means there is more football tonight. Who has been betting and winning on soccer? Well Vince has haha. We won't go into that breakdown unless at some point somebody wants some soccer breakdown. We do have a boxing request, which is interesting, so we will get to that along with some other football games. Good luck this weekend!
V & D,
I haven't seen you saucy gents break down a boxing match, but could you please give us a rundown on the Dykstra/Canseco fight which is happening this Saturday? Obviously Lenny is giving up some size, but he looks like he has a square jaw and nothing to lose. Is this the first time two legally retarded people have fought for cash in front of a national audience? Could this become a trend? Thanks and stuff.
Sincerely,
Brassy Bill
Bartlesville
Dykstra, fresh out of jail for felony grand theft auto, Canseco, a ring veteran losing to Vai Sikahema and working a draw with Danny Bonaduce. Canseco is also the self proclaimed "Godfather of Steroids." Jose is 6'3" roughly 200 lbs and is clearly still using steroids at the age of 47. Dykstra on the other hand is 5'7" and probably at this point closer to 200 than his playing weight of 167. Dykstra is nicknamed "Nails" and might be able to throw Canseco off with the fact he is left handed. One would think that this height advantage would be worthwhile, but Canseco had the same advantage with Bonaduce and wasn't able to close the deal. You also have to take into account that Dykstra just spent 4.5 months in prison, so this might have toughened him up, and he has to go back for more charges at some point. These guys are going to duke it out, but I really look for the ring veteran Canseco to knock Dykstra on his ass and take advantage of his reach advantage. We shall see, but this is one for the decades. Take Canseco in a split decision.
Thoughts from Dave...
South Carolina @ Arkansas (-5): Here's the deal, no bullshit, Arkansas breaks out of their traditional first half slump and this is over early. The #9 Gamecocks come into Fayetteville to face a resilient Razorback team that has found ways to win. And they will do it behind the big arm of Tyler Wilson. What Tyler Wilson has hesitated to do is throw the ball down field. He is great at throwing crossing routes and the boundaries, but this week Petrino wants him to sling it down field. The Gamecocks are playing with replacement players at QB Conner Shaw and RB Brandon Wilds. Arkansas brings in the top passing team in the SEC and should continue it's aerial attack on Saturday. This will be a prime time game on ESPN and the hogs need to shake their slow start, what better way than to do it on prime time. On a side note, I will be there to witness the slaughter. If you have any money stashed away in the mattress or coffee can, now is the time to lay it all on Hogs to cover at home.
Hogs roll 55-24.
Michigan @ Iowa (4) : Michigan rolls into town to take on a mediocre team at best in the Iowa Hawkeyes. The Hawkeyes dropped one to Minnesota last week, yes Minnesota. Minnesota picked up only their second win of the season and first conference win of the year. Iowa has looked horrible all year long and should continue their trend on Saturday. Denard Robinson should own this defense, you don't know how much that pains me to say that, b/c I think this kid gets more credit than what he deserves. The only way Iowa hangs around is to contain the one dimensional Robinson into throwing the ball, if they don't, the Wolverines will walk away with a fairy easy win.
Texas A&M @ Oklahoma (-13.5) This has the potential to be a back and forth game if the Aggies can limit their mistakes. I said has the potential, just like I had the potential to win the 280 million dollar power ball that was won in CT. Hey, I had a shot. Oklahoma is back in contention in the BCS championship race again. But to continue to stay in the hunt, they need to take care of business in Norman. I think the Sooners carry over the momentum they had in the Blowout win of the Wildcats last Saturday in Manhattan. They contain Ryan Tannehill and they win convincingly. Sooners put up 50+ plus and roll.
Kansas State @ Oklahoma State (-21) : Oklahoma State has some serious weapons on offense and the defense is getting better each week. The senior citizen QB continues to impress and operate with ease in the pocket. Randle is gaining confidence with every carry and the WR corp is in the top 3 in the country. I think K-State packs it in for the season and it was good while it lasted, but after coming off an ass whooping from the Sooners, the Pokes will greet them with the same high octane offense and the fans in Stillwater are going to love it. OSU is deadly, I mean deadly, especially when playing at home and have a shot, a legit shot at a national championship run. Bill Snyder is no doubt a great coach, but he didn't have an answer last week and the trend will continue as he won't have an answer this week. Pokes roll.
Rams @ Cardinals (-3.5) I like the Rams straight up to win this one. They come off a big win against the Saints and the Cards will be without starting QB Kevin Kolb. Also, the Rams possibly welcome back Sam Bradford and the newly acquired Brandon Lloyd has meshed well so far with the Rams offense. I look for the Rams to win a close one on the road.
Bears @ Eagles (-7) : This one could go either way, the Eagles are riding a 2 game winning streak, last week clobbering the Cowboys 34-7, does that continue? I honestly don't know. I have picked the Eagles in this one, b/c they have to continue last weeks performance to compete for a playoff berth within the division. The Bears have looked good so far behind the legs of Matt Forte, I look for this to be a barn burner 41-31 Eagles.
Thoughts from Vince...
Dolphins @ Chiefs -4. Sure I am a homer, sure I am a season ticket holder, but I was also one that was on the Chargers when we played in San Diego and were 15 point dogs. They covered that game and have covered every game since. They have also won 4 in a row, all games which they were dogs. This is the first game since opening day the Chiefs are favored, and it is a surprisingly low long considering how hot one team is and how 0-7 the other team is. Sure the dolphins have been in games, and have been fighting time and time again, but this one is real simple. Chiefs are at home, get up early, and you will see a team quit. This Dolphins team has a coach that will be lucky to be around the rest of the year, has the leg up for Luck, and haven't won a game. If the Chiefs were 5-2 instead of 4-3 I could see a let down here, but they are focused, they know this game is just as big as the last one, and they will come out and get up on Miami early. This Chiefs team also now has the triple B receiving core. Breaston, Baldwin, and Bowe! The Fins can cover, but not 3 quality receivers. Chiefs come out and actually establish the pass to open up the run for Jackie Battle. Battle again keeps the ball secure and runs the clock out in the 2nd half after the Chiefs get up early.
Chiefs 24 Dolphins 16
Broncos @ Raiders -7.5. Let me get this right, Al Davis dies, they trade way too much for Carson Palmer, and now they sign TJ Houshmandzadeh? Really? This guy was washed up when he was in Cincy. Who the hell is running the team? Palmer? Go sign my friend off the streets, he has been catching the ball from my wobble launcher as we have been working out? Oh well, I appreciate the Raiders self-imploding, makes it easier for the Chiefs to win the division. Sure Tebow looked like crap last week, and so did the entire Broncos team, but John Fox will get the blown coverages fixed, (Titus Young in the end zone 41 yards down the field, closest player, Kyle Orton on the sideline) and have his team fired up for a division game. Palmer looked horrible against the Chiefs, and I don't care that he only knew 9 or 10 plays, his arm looked horrible. He has no zip on the ball, same as in Cincy last year. He is washed up, he doesn't have the cannon that he used to, hell Matt Cassel has a stronger arm than Carson Palmer right now. I see Denver covering this game, they could win but it depends on how many times Tebow Tebows before the game? Oh and I almost forgot, McFadden is not expected to play, so that doesn't help the Raiders chances. I am taking the points and the Broncos.
Raiders 20 Broncos 17
Bengals @ Titans -3. I have been on the Bengals for most of the year, and I think most of us have made money on them. I thought they would get derailed traveling to Seattle last week, but I was wrong, they showed up and dismantled the Seahawks. This is just one of those games though that is tough for Cincy to get up for. First off they traveled across the country last week and now are traveling again. Back to back road games, but the 2nd after the longest trip they will make this year. Also, the Titans have way more to play for here than the Bengals. This game doesn't mean anything to Cincy and I say that because they are young. This team is looking forward to next week against Pittsburgh and how big that game will be and will overlook this somewhat talented Titans team. Not sure if Chris Johnson gets going or not, but they have a talented backup and will use him if they have to. I think Cincy comes out flat and lays and egg.
Titans 24 Bengals 14
LSU @ Alabama -4.5. This is the prime time matchup that everybody is looking forward to. #1 vs #2. Kind of funny to me most of the money in Vegas is on LSU, I guess they are getting all the hype here, and I can see why, but this is where Saben is at his best. Before even looking at the stats or trends on this game, I liked Bama by 14. I am sticking to that now for sure. When Saben is playing an undefeated team as an undefeated team he is 14-2 straight up and 13-3 ATS. Saben is also 10-0 in revenge games when his defense is allowing less than 16.5 points per game. LSU wins by taking big gambles on both offense and defense and I think this gambles will not result in the rewards they have so far this season. Bama gets the running game going and controls the game from the get go. I look for at least one defensive touchdown for Bama in this game and they hang on to that early lead.
Bama 28 LSU 17
Missouri @ Baylor -2.5. I have said for the entire year that Missouri is better than Baylor and here is their chance to prove it. Josey leads the Big 12 in rushing, and don't look for him to slow down here. Baylor can't stop anybody on defense so how do they plan on stopping one of the best running backs in the nation? Also, looks like Franklin has settled in and if he can stay away from the mistakes Mizzou wins this game going away. Sure sure, RG3 will get some points, but did you see they had like 600 yards of offense and 24 points last week? I don't expect them to have that many yards this week, but I look for them to score a little more. Missouri gained a lot of confidence last week by winning a tough game on the road in the division in overtime and they and Gary Pinkle will build on that. Wrong team favored here
Missouri 45 Baylor 30
Stanford @ Oregon St +21. I don't think you have to question me here, I have been on Stanford the entire year and I am not getting off them now. They have now covered in every game of the season and 11 straight. Last week was their first win of less than 20+. They still won that game with an off game from Andrew Luck. He threw a costly pick 6 at the end of the game, but again I think he knew the spread and wanted to cover that 7.5 in triple overtime by winning by 8. This Stanford team is on a mission, and they know they need to blow Oregon St out. I think Oregon St scores early, and then goes to sleep.

V & D,
I haven't seen you saucy gents break down a boxing match, but could you please give us a rundown on the Dykstra/Canseco fight which is happening this Saturday?

Picks
If anybody is still paying attention after some of our most brutal weeks, we are still going to post picks although lately it has been like kissing your cousin. See video below
Now if I haven't totally lost you I really feel like Dave and Vince are going to have great bounce back weeks. Things have been a little goofy lately, but it is about the time for a late run in the season. I think the teams with smoke and mirrors in college football are starting to go up in flames, the great teams are emerging, the NFL is like it always is which is who really knows, but some teams are trying to separate themselves. And here is the breakdown at the request of somebody listed in a different format. I will say this thing does not allow you to format the way I would like so I am going to try something different please keep providing feedback.

Preview
Holy Cow! Seriously I don't know what else to say after being at Arrowhead on Monday Night! The Chiefs got a treat from the Chargers, in the form of a Phillip Rivers fumble with a minute left in regulation. This gave the Chiefs the opportunity to win the game in overtime. I mean there were people in the stadium that sit behind me that left saying it was over, and I have to admit it didn't look promising, but instead of walking out down after a tough game, we walked out celebrating a huge victory to become tied for the division lead. Yes the same Chiefs team that started 0-3 and getting blown out 89-10 in their first 2 games. Since then the Chiefs have found something, a bend and don't break defense, a running back who just "Battles", some big play receivers, and a will to never give up and never quit. This team isn't a Super Bowl contender, but they could make the playoffs and then all hands on deck. We will see if they can stay focused on a short week with the winless Dolphins coming in. The Fins have been playing people tough and I don't really look for them to lay down here.
Dave and I didn't have great weeks, but I am not sure if anybody did? I check out some other sites and one guy was 3-10 ATS, that is not good. It was exciting and fun, and I can't wait for another weekend of football! Does anybody want to look back and thank the players and owners for getting this deal done? I mean seriously think of where we would be if the lockout was still on going like in the NBA? Thanks to everybody that got us to football!
Some early lines and some games we have and will look at for your enjoyment. Obviously every NFL game will be on there, but some big games.
Jets @ Bills -1
Seahawks @ Cowboys -11.5
Falcons @ Colts +7
Dolphins @ Chiefs -5
Bucs @ Saints -8.5
49ers @ Redskins +3.5
Browns @ Texans -11
Bengals @ Titans -3
Broncos @ Raiders -7.5
Giants @ Patriots -8.5
Rams @ Cardinals no line yet b/c of Bradford
Packers @ Chargers +6
Ravens @ Steelers -3
Bears @ Eagles -7
Some College Games
USC @ Colorado +21.5
Louisville @ West Virginia -14
Mississippi @ Kentucky +1.5
Purdue @ Wisconsin -25.5
Vanderbilt @ Florida -13.5
Michigan @ Iowa +4
Texas Tech @ Texas -12
Texas A&M @ Oklahoma -13
South Carolina @ Arkansas -4.5
LSU @ Alabama -4.5 the biggest game of the season so far!!!!
Stanford @ Oregon St +21
K State @ Oklahoma State -21
Missouri @ Baylor -2.5
Houston @ UAB +28
These will be the games we will look at, but we are willing to add and breakdown some other games for you. Just let us know what you might be looking at and we will make it happen.
There is a big game tonight NO Illinois @ Toledo -9. One thing I know about these two teams is that they can both just flat out score some points. Toledo can play some defense on occasion and will probably be the difference in the game. Honestly don't know enough about either team to have any wagers on it, and it doesn't help I got home about 2 a.m. after the Chiefs game, so I am staying away from this action. Hope you have a great week and hope you look forward to this weekend just as much as we do!
